Friday's Letter

Dear Ryan, ride bikes from Fairhope to Lu Lu's on Sunday? Don't mind if we do! Dear Ryleigh and Tanner, The above picture proves that you guys actually do love each other. Dear Kate Middleton, I loved watching your wedding this morning. You give girls around the world hope that they to can one day be a princess. You looked gorgeous! Dear Londoners, I really wish I would have been invited to the wedding so I could have worn a crazy hat. I've never had the desire to wear a hat until today. They look so fun! Dear weekend, I'm so so so so glad you are here! Dear living room, redecorating you is going to be the death of me. So far I have fabric for the pillows, a lamp and one picture picked out. Dear Etsy, I love the handmade picture frame I found on your website but I personally think $70 is a little much for it. Let me know when you run a sale! Dear Flour Girls, I have to stop coming or else I'm not going to be able to fit in any of my clothes. Your cupcakes are just so good! Dear Tammy, I am so thankful that you guys are ok. A car is easily replaced so I'm glad that was the only thing that was messed up. Dear Ryan, Looking forward to riding with you on Sunday...I'm kinda nervous about riding with people all around me. I tend to not go in a straight line. I hope I don't run into anyone and make everyone fall down like dominoes. :)

Here is what I have for my living room....

This is the fabric I got to have throw pillows made. I have to keep the red that's in there b/c of the red rug. I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money so I'm just trying to update pictures and accent pieces without buying new furniture or rugs. I love how this has the red I need and the turquoise I want!
This is the frame from Etsy that I LOVE!!!! It matches perfectly!!! I have some birthday money from Ryan and his mom left so I may end up buying it...I'm not sure. It matches everything perfectly though!
I bought this picture to hang on the wall. I'll see it every time I walk out of my room and on the way to the kids room. Sometimes I need to just say to myself "Keep Calm and Carry On." I think it'll look really cute.

I like this picture for above the fireplace but it's $300 from Pier One...think I'll pass on that!

I also like this picture I found on Etsy...I may order it for above the fireplace...I'm not sure yet.

Easter 2011

We had a really good Easter this year even though I really feel like it snuck up on me. I didn't even get Tanner a shirt to wear until a few days before. I was planning on Ryleigh wearing the flower girl dress she had worn from Courtney's wedding but I didn't ever get shoes to match it. (She went barefoot in the wedding). So she wore a really cute smocked dress I had bought for Courtney's rehearsal dinner. I really hated that the kids didn't match this year. It was the first year for them not to. They still looked really cute but it still makes me sad.

We do their Easter baskets on Saturday night. We are rushing around on Sunday mornings and Ryan always has to leave really early for church on Easter Sunday so it's just easier this way. It helps that they don't believe in the Easter Bunny or anything.

They also got golf clubs that were between the 2 baskets. Golf is their new obsession so Ryan bought them real ones from Academy. They are really cute!

Ryan also got them real bunnies! I know, he's insane. I'll do a separate post soon on all the crazy animals he's bought lately. They loved the bunnies. They named them Lily and Calcutta.
Here they are in their Easter clothes. Doesn't Ryleigh smile just like Lindsey?? I think they do!

I know all moms say this about their kids but Tanner really is just the cutest little boy ever. How cute does he look in this picture??? Everywhere we go people always ask me if I have him in modeling. What they don't know is that he HATES to have his picture taken. Which is the reason he isn't looking at the camera.

And I love this girl who is so much like her momma it's scary!! We love a goofy picture!!

Maybe, just maybe one day we will be able to get a good family picture.

After church we all went to Moms house to eat and have a Easter Egg hunt. The kids were really excited about the egg hunt.

We also celebrated Jordan's birthday. He'll be 17 tomorrow. Happy Birthday Jordan!!! When you turn 18 let's go get tattoos! :)

This picture just really makes me smile. Jordan obviously isn't a "small" person. Actually no one in our family would be considered small. But anyway, everyone knows that boy can eat. Well on Sunday he broke his fork eating! He wouldn't let me take a picture of it so Whitney asked if he wanted her to throw his away when she was taking hers and ran over to me! I love the way that girl thinks!

This should have been near the top but I don't feel like rearranging everything. This is my friend Courtney and me at church on Sunday. I love how on Easter Sunday everyone is so dressed up. We all go to the Modern Service so we normally wear jeans, a shirt and flip flops. So on Easter it was funny seeing everyone so dressed up. Let's not make a habit of it though! I like wearing flip flops to church.

Tiffany's insane habbits

This spring break has been one of the best ones we have ever had with the least people to ever stay in our room. With this being said we have really got to know everyone that stayed, Tiffany in particular. In just a short week we have discovered all of the weird things that make up Tiffany's life. So Courtney, Velvet, and myself (lil' Ryan) decided to list everything that makes her life unique to say the least.
1. There are three things that Tiffany could absolutely not live without and we are starting with chap stick. For this week alone she has brought 7 different sticks one for each day. It is attached to her body even her bathing suit when she lays out and panicked almost to the point of death when I hid it.
2. She puts lotion on any part of her body that touches water. She only uses the cheapest kind because it's the only REAL lotion. If her feet are filthy and then puts lotion on her feet she then feels clean and no need to bathe.
3. Tiffany also has an addiction to nose spray and at the rate she is going she will need nasal reconstruction surgery just like Micheal Jackson before the age of thirty. She begins to shake and tear up every time she is away from it.
4. The only attire that she will wear to bed is men's basketball shorts (thick band only) and a t-shirt. She has to pull them up as high as they will go so her "fat" will not hang over them. Big Ryan love this about her.
5. Her phone is not allowed to leave her side, she is one with it and no one on earth is allowed to go through it. She has EXTREME separation anxiety.
6. She has a weird theory of how to lose weight. Any time she doesn't want to overeat such as eating a WHOLE cupcake she will spray the unwanted half with windex so she won't eat it. So instead of throwing it away (where she will still eat it) or giving it to someone she decides to poison it. She carries a travel size windex with her everywhere she goes!
7. The only utensil she will use in the kitchen is scissors. She cuts potatoes, pizza, steak, and even cheese with these. She even likes to use them to trim her grass.
8. Don't stare at Tiffany too hard because she bruises easier than a soft tomato in a dryer. If you even touch her she will scream, "STOP! I bruise easy!!"
9. There is one insane one that deals with uncle Terry and public bathrooms that she won't let us post.

Spring Break 2011

OK, so I'm behind Jordan. Seriously, I'm not kidding. I knew no one would believe me so I stuck my hand out on the side. See it? I can't wait for him to graduate high school go to college and go to the NFL and make us millions!! Yep, you read that right, us. He loves me the most out of all of our cousins! :)
I love this little girl. She is hands down the most fashionable 5 year old I've ever met. Check out those sunglasses!
He loved jumping waves!!
Ryan and Ryleigh. Ryan was such a good cousin and took the kids to the indoor pool for 2 hours today. It was a trade off we made. I gave him a gift certificate to a restaurant and he had to take them to the indoor pool for 2 hours. The indoor pool is the worst place ever. Like seriously, it's awful.
And this picture just makes me smile!

Friday's Letter

Dear Ryan, My favorite part of this week was lunch with you on Wednesday. I think I have a new favorite lunch spot...wanna go back and buy that picture frame for me?? It was only $90! :) Dear Tanner, Last night you told me you got the above dinosaur for me and wanted me to keep it in my car so I would think about you. You then disappeared and didn't say anything else about it. Imagine my delight when I get in my car this morning and this is what I see. I love your placement of the dinosaur and he will stay there forever! I love you! Dear Ryleigh, Why is it at 5 we are already having arguments about your curfew?? 7:15 means 7:15...it's not up for negotiation! Dear Aunt Lisa, I think I'm going to get a timer for the kids to take with them and when it goes off they'll know it's time to come home. Do you think that would work?? Dear Family who is going to the beach, I am BEYOND excited to be laying in the sand reading a book and playing with kids. Here's to a week full of fun and sun! SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear Whitney, I cannot believe you are going to miss spring break this year. My heart is broken. Who's going to drive Ryleigh to the ER this year?? Or be there to catch me when I pass out???? WHO??? Does this not concern you?????? Do we mean nothing to you anymore????? It will not be the same without you. May you have a fun week but not as fun as ours. Love you! Dear Ryan, I'll miss you this week. I hope you have a good week at work while we are having fun at the beach. Can everyone tell I'm just a little excited!!!!!! Just a little! :)

Birthday Party

Friday night we had my Birthday Party at Paint Party Studios. Yes, I know most 25 year olds don't have an actual birthday party for themselves but this one does!! My mom did everything for the party and it was amazing! I would venture to say that I have the best mom ever. Like, seriously.

She got the cupcakes from a bakery called Flour Girls which seriously has the best cupcakes of all time. But all the other food she made herself! She even got me matching plates and napkins! :)

My friends who don't eat my mom's food often couldn't believe that she made all of it. They seriously thought it was store bought. My mom is an excellent cook.

I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was to busy painting and socializing!
Here is the picture I painted. I think it turned out really cute. Especially considering I didn't have any professional help. Which is big for me. Last time I went I painted my picture and it looked so bad they basically had to redo the whole thing.

Here is Aunt Velvet and the wonderful picture she painted ALL BY HERSELF!! :)
Saturday Tan Man had a Tball game and after that we headed over to Fairhope to spend the day. We walked around and I got fitted for new running shoes that I bought with My birthday money (Thanks Mom and Tammy!) then we went to the little beach that Fairhope has.
It was HOT!! This week is going to be the longest week ever since we leave for the beach on Friday night for the whole week!!! I'm SOOOOO excited!!!

Happy Birthday Tiffany!

To My Girl, It started way back in 7th grade. You were the new girl in school who was definitely the tallest and the prettiest. I had no idea she was meant for me and if you ask her back then she couldn't even stand me. Time went on and our paths crossed again our sophomore year of high school. To my complete surprise we started dating...having no idea what God had in store for me. We graduated high school and I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart and the love of my life. We have been through a lot together in the past almost 11 year. We were sitting in the hospital yesterday with Mom on Ryleigh's birthday and it's still hard to believe that 5 years ago God blessed Tiffany and I with that beautiful baby girl. So I am writing this for Tiffany and Ryleigh (my girls). I love them both so much. They are just alike! Although sometimes this drives me crazy! I thank God everyday for my beautiful, loving wife and kids. And Tiffany, even though you are 25 (a quarter of a century old) now I think I'm going to keep you around a lot longer. I still feel like newlyweds...well as newly wed as you can feel with a 4 and 5 year old! I know this is kinda all over the place but this blogging thing is harder than I thought! (One more thing I'll give you props for Tiffany! It's hard!) You are my best friend and the best wife I could ever ask for. I am so thankful that you are mine and I get to spend this crazy game called life with you. You are the greatest and I thank you for EVERYTHING (since I'm reminded daily that you do EVERYTHING :)) that you do for us! Without you we would starve and have to wear dirty clothes! :) I love you and I hope you have a great birthday!!! Ryan

F-I-V-E!!!!!

I can't believe that I'm about to say this but Happy 5th Birthday Ryleigh Claire!!!!
You have been looking forward to this day for MONTHS!!!! I really, really, really can't believe you are five. I mean you are now officially half way to TEN!!!!
The past 5 years with you have been so much fun! You are such a precious little girl who we love so much!! You are sweet when you want to be and feisty when you have to be.
Your dad is head over heels in love with you and he says that it must be because you are exactly like me. The 2 most important girls in his life are just alike...oh no! Help him! :)

You are sassy and smart. You do what you want to regardless of what anyone else thinks or says. You love school and love all the new things you are learning. You can read small books and are always very proud of yourself when you get finished with one.
You love to be mean to Tanner but then 10 minutes later you'll be as sweet as ever to him. You love babies, collecting things (which drives me nuts), acting way older than you are and high heels. (I got you your first pair that you get to open today!)
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having a little girl. Especially one as sweet as you. Yes, sometimes you drive me CRAZY (I think that goes back to because we are exactly alike) but the joy you bring to our lives is unmeasurable. Happy 5th Birthday Ryleigh Claire! I hope 5 is everything you hoped it would be!

Two 4 year olds!

So on Sunday when I had both kids dressed up and a few minutes to spare (which RARELY happens) I wanted to get some pictures of them. This is what I end up with...

What's funny is that I LOVE these pictures more than any others. They remind me of myself and Whitney. Bless their hearts, they are turning into us. They are in such a fun stage right now. I Love having two 4 year olds...even if it's only for 6 weeks!

I did manage to get this one of them but I'm not in love with the standard pose and fake smiles. I prefer character and personality in our pictures.

And if there is one thing my kids are good at...it's delivering on character and personality!

I love these 2!
